Trout Fishing
Trout Fishing in the Florida Region's do vary from one region of Florida waters to the next. Our area allows for 4 trout per person per day. One over the slot 15" to 20" is the slot. We catch Some Trout in the 10 Lb range and this happens more frequent since the Net banning over 10 years ago.
Trout Spawn several times a year. I have had some really good Trout days with one Trout after the other off and on all day some times.
Barometer changes with the high pressure system's going up, turns the catching on dramatically. Slow Rising of the barometer can make for a good fishing day.
Top water Trout fishing can be very aggressive at times and the action that takes place when this happens is amazing to experience.
Even when the Trout are small People like to catch something and this can make for an interesting Day remember most everything in the water will eat Trout. So if you are in allot of small Trout bigger predator fish can be close by.
Trout eat everything in the water just as much as the Red fish do The same bait works for Trout as do for Red fish. This is what makes our fishery incredible. One minute you are catching Trout and then all of a sudden Red fish show up.
Grand slams can be caught and on an average day Slams will be caught allot of the days of fishing. A Slam is Three species of fish for the unlearned fisherman.
